National legal practice with ISO 9001 Quality Accreditation requires an experienced Insolvency Law solicitor with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience to join our team in the Sydney Head Office.


Our clients range from Government departments, statutory bodies, corporations, small business and individuals.


The successful applicant will be working with a highly organised and skilled team. We have a relaxed yet highly professional atmosphere. Training and development is encouraged and supported; whilst the accredited specialist directors take on an approachable mentoring role.


We are looking for people who have a professional approach, proactive attitude and drive to succeed to assist in a busy law practice with the following experience and attributes;


Demonstrated understanding of court practice and procedure

Demonstrated knowledge of the preparation and review of statements of claim, motions for judgment, garnishees, writs, examinations, general and other routine documents

Demonstrated understanding of commercial law including preference advice, litigation, company winding up, bankruptcy procedures

Understanding of requirements to act for creditors, liquidators and bankruptcy trustees in a diverse range of actions

Demonstrated familiarity with the conduct of routine and defended matters, including appearance work in the Local, District, Supreme and Federal Courts

Demonstrate your proven time management and organisational ability to enable the running of a fast moving and high volume practice

Demonstrate your exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in drafting documents

Demonstrated ability to conduct courteous and efficient communications with clients, opposing parties, including solicitors, and self-represented parties

Examples of your excellent problem solving, mediation and negotiating skills


Your skill set should consist of but not be limited to;

Being articulate, persuasive and succinct in communications

Have a willingness to assist in development of client relationships.

Flexibility in approach

Appropriate software and keyboard skills

Ability to prioritise work and handle multiple tasks or assignments

Work unsupervised while maintaining a commitment to deadlines

Willingness to embrace technology and automation of workflow

High levels of integrity and discretion with a corporate outlook

Understanding of quality processes and procedures

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Impeccable attention to detail

Demonstrate understanding of team management and support

Ability to actively support the firm’s vision and strategies including promoting change

Ability to understand professional pressures and remain resilient under these circumstances maintaining a calm and composed approach


This is a long term permanent employment position for the right people.
